 TTW provide the students with a table that shows data for the weather in December 2022. TSW be divided into groups- given anchor chart graph paper and asked to transfer the data into a coordinate plane. From there the TSW describe the associations, draw trend line, and explain their trend line and choice for association. They will use the trend line to write an equation.  From there we will use the equation to predict what the following days might be.

Independent  Practice: Break off into groups, give each group a white graphing Anchor Chart and markers. Have them graph several different  equations from the ordered pairs they made Thursday. Each equation will be in a different color. Each group has to write the steps to graphing an equation

Build: Compare the graphs from yesterday  to the equations. Use them to determine how the coefficient of x (being negative or positive) makes the graph of a line go up or down.

Model: (Slope-Intercept Worksheets1-2 )first label the graphs as linear or nonlinear. Then show them How to find the slope of a graph by pulling the ordered pairs, making a table, and applying the slope formula.
