LMS 6 th Grade Homework and Home Classwork Policy                      

Dear Parents,

Your child will have a copy of the homework calendar in their binder each week. We will check for homework each day. All of our assignments will need to be submitted in the appropriate platform (Stemscopes, Pearson, StudySync, Newsela, Google classroom, etc.) NOT BY EMAIL. Links to assignments are posted in their Google classroom. As stated in our beginning of the year letters, we will allow a maximum of two days for the return of assignments. Ten points will be deducted each day it’s late. After the two days they will receive a maximum of 80 if the assignment is complete and correct. If assignments are not turned in after the two days, they WILL RECEIVE A ZERO. 

The ELA beginning of the year letter also stated, each week student’s must read a nonfiction AR book level 4.5 or higher. Books can be checked out in our library, read on EPIC website (must be read at school or purchase a personal account for home use) or checked out at the public library. This is a daily grade. 

We will perform “random checks” for correct answers. We will choose homework assignments at random throughout the week to check for correct answers. 

If no homework is given, your child will see No Homework on that day. Our websites are updated every Monday. Parents, please email us if you have any questions. The office may not know the answers to our classroom assignments. Please sign and return with your child’s progress report.

B group will have a Greatest Common Factor and Least Common Multiple worksheet Thursday night. 

Hopefully by Tuesday afternoon all students will be connected to their Google Classroom accounts.
