Scott County School District Names Wayne Wilson as Principal of Lake Middle School

FOREST, MS – The Scott County School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Wayne Wilson as the new Principal of Lake Middle School. A veteran educator with a deep-rooted passion for student development, Mr. Wilson steps into the role with a clear mission to foster academic excellence and character growth within the Hornet Community.

Mr. Wilson brings 23 years of educational and leadership experience to Lake Middle School. His career is distinguished not only by his administrative expertise but also by 19 years of coaching, during which he dedicated himself to developing the integrity, discipline, and skills of countless students and athletes.

“I am truly looking forward to serving at Lake Middle School and building strong, meaningful relationships within this great community,” said Mr. Wilson.

Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Chad Harrison expressed high confidence in the new appointment:

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Wilson’s values are deeply rooted in his family. He has been married to his wife, Cassie Wilson, for 25 years. They are the proud parents of four children, including two who are married. This foundation of family continues to shape his approach to leadership and his unwavering commitment to serving others.

Mr. Wilson is eager to begin his tenure and looks forward to meeting with parents, faculty, and students to prepare for a successful academic year.
