Parents and Students,
Although we will not have face-to-face classes this week, it is essential to push forward and continue our hard work! Below I have attached each grade's lessons for the week. Please work through these activities as these are strictly a review of previous 9 weeks' materials. Students should not have issues working through these, HOWEVER, if there are any questions please do not hesitate to reach out. I am more than happy to help in any way I can during this time.
**ALL ASSIGNMENTS, NOTES, REVIEW MATERIALS HAVE BEEN POSTED ON MY GOOGLE CLASSROOM FOR REFERENCE AS WELL

8th: This week, we will be reviewing the processes of asexual and sexual reproduction, the phases and steps of mitosis and meiosis, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. There are extra notes and resources available on my google classroom if needed. The worksheets that should be completed this week are attached below. PLEASE REACH OUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.

7th: This week, we will be reviewing physical and chemical properties and changes, the periodic table, and elements. There are extra notes and resources available on my google classroom if needed. The worksheets that should be completed this week are attached below. PLEASE REACH OUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.

I understand this is a difficult time as we transition from break to at-home learning, however, it is important that we continue to grow, learn, and build on the strong foundations we have created this year. I am incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of these students, and I am eager to see them back in our classroom routine very soon! Enjoy your break, stay safe, and WASH YOUR HANDS :)

  • E.8.9A.1 Investigate and explain how the flow of Earth’s internal energy drives the cycling of matter through convection currents between Earth’s surface and the deep interior causing plate movements.
  • E.8.9A.2 Explore and debate theories of plate tectonics to form conclusions about past and current movements of rocks at Earth’s surface throughout history
We will have an exam on Friday, January 24 on these two standards. Students will be given study materials throughout the week as a review.

7th Grade Standards covered this week:
  • L.7.3.2 Analyze and interpret data to explain how the processes of photosynthesis, and cellular respiration (aerobic and anaerobic) work together to meet the needs of plants and animals.
  • L.7.3.3 Use models to describe how food molecules (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins) are processed through chemical reactions using oxygen (aerobic) to form new molecules.
We will have an exam on Friday, January 24 on these two standards. Students will be given study materials throughout the week as a review.
