Week 7, 1st Nine Weeks

We will begin Topic 3: The American Revolution
Monday:
We will begin with a teacher lead dive into Lesson 1: The French an Indian War. This will include a walk through of the lesson a deep explanation of the interactive maps, tours, and timelines in Savvas. The students will be allowed a Q & A during the lesson for a better understanding of fort locations, battles, and anything about the native American societies involved in the war.
Tuesday: 
We will begin a teacher lead discussion into Lesson 2: Growing Resentment against Britain. This will include a walk through of the lesson a deep explanation of the interactive maps, tours, and timelines in Savvas. The students will be allowed a Q & A during the lesson for a better understanding of causes of the great resentment, battles, and anything question about what lead up to the growing resentment as well as what finally lead the to sign the Declaration of Independence
Wednesday:
We will begin a teacher lead discussion into Lesson 3: Taking up arms. This will include a walk through of the lesson and a deep explanation of the interactive maps, tours, and timelines in Savvas. The students will be allowed a Q & A during the lesson for a deeper understanding of why the American Revolution was so deeply connected to the country we are today. I will also pass around documents that are printed on parchment paper like the declaration of independence. We will also look at the documents passed during this time like the Townsend acts and other tax documents. We will end on why and how they decided to bring up arms.
Thursday:
We will  begin with a teacher lead discussion into Lesson 4: The Move Toward Independence. This will include a look at the interactive maps throughout the Revolutionary war era, different tours of buildings, and a timeline that lays out the important events of the Revolutionary War. There will be Q & A session during the lesson so that the students get a deeper understanding of the Revolutionary war and why independence was so important and worth fighting for. There will also e a short animated video at the end of the lesson.
Friday:
We will  begin with a teacher lead discussion into Lesson 5: Winning Independence. We will dive into the many battles and military tactics used during the great Revolutionary war. We will look into documents written during that time about the war and what some of the solider experienced during this time. We will also pull up short videos and reenactments of famous battles during the revolutionary war.
